Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC) is an engineering and management college (AGKIM) located in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. The college is affiliated to Mahamaya Technical University, Gautam Buddha Nagar.[1] The college was affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow until 2010 when the university was bifurcated and the college came under the jurisdiction of the present university.

The college is situated on the 27 km milestone on the Delhi-Hapur bypass and is 25 km (16 miles) from Delhi. It is one of the top uptu private college and occasionally appears in top uptu college rankings after the government colleges and JSS Academy Of Technical Education. The college was awarded first position in the Academic Excellence award in 2009 and 2010 among the government and private engineering colleges affiliated to UPTU.
Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College was established in 1998 with the sole objective of providing a morally sound educational system, which not only produced ace technical professionals but also made Samaritans of them. The college runs 4 years Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Sciences & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Information Technology, 3 years Master of Computer Applications Program and 2 years M.Tech program in Automation and Robotics.The College has constantly been achieving targets for various years since inception.Now,the college Focus for 2008-09 is to: To inculcate good moral values,ethics,work culture and a positive attitude in all students,Faculty and staff.

The mission behind the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is to impart high quality education and spawn eminent graduates to carry out leading-edge research in the discipline of Computer Science and Engineering. The department admits about 120 students every year in the B.Tech. program and 18 students in the M.Tech. program. The department is equipped with following labs:-
The Electronics & Communications stream represents two fastest growing technology areas in view of exponential growth taking place in the communication networks in the country. The department is organized in tune with these latest developments in terms of curriculum, well-qualified faculty and the state of-the-art labs for B.Tech course in Electronics & Communication Engineering. The department has started the M.Tech course in Electronics & Communication Engineering from academic session 2009-10 with intake of 18 students. The department shall also start B.Tech course in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering for which the approval from AICTE has already been received w.e.f. academic session 2010-11 with intake of 60 students. The department also has its technical society-Phoenix; the society organizes quizzes, technical seminars, mock interviews, aptitude tests, and technical paper presentation etc for the students. The department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation, AICTE.
